The inaugural meeting of the IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI) will be held in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China, 5-7 January, 2012. BHI is a new Special Topic Conference recently launched by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). The inaugural meeting will be held in conjunction with the 8th International Symposium on Medical Devices and Biosensors and the 7th International Symposium on Biomedical and Health Engineering, with joint sponsorship by the IEEE-EMBS and the Key Lab of Health Informatics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (HI-CAS).
BHI 2012 will be focused on the theme of Global Grand Challenge of Health Informatics. It will provide a unique forum to examine enabling technologies of devices and systems that optimize the acquisition, transmission, processing, storage, retrieval of biomedical and health information as well as to report clinical studies on the novel application of health information systems and the deployment of telemedicine.
